Half Way K's
22nd to 27th June

Welcome to the challenge!
In the middle of the year students will participate in the 'Half Way Ks' (HWK) Challenge. They will be encouraged to walk, run, cycle, scoot, blade for at least 1kilometre or more.
Once they complete it they will input their data into a Google Form for the class to use. They will use the results from this form in a data manipulation task at the end of the Term.

We want you to get involved - even if you are half way around the world.
Do you:
Lock in a day between the 22nd and 27th June -
However and wherever you complete the distance you will be encouraged to input your data to help create a diverse set of results for the Year 5 class.

- Students get some fantastic exercise across Term 2
- Students consolidate their learning about the conversion of distances in Maths
- Students develop questioning skills that create data for analysis.
- Students learn a little about blogging and appropriate online behaviour
- Students look at the language of persuasion to get more participants involved in the HWL.
